I would suggest coming to one of the sunday jams in the New Haven Green. Every Sunday at 11 usually. Easiest way of getting started and it's right there.

GUYS GREAT NEWS THE SCHOOLS PASSED IT, apparently the dean of students saw me doing it and actually wished he could do it, i went into the meeting and mr.torrre (athletic director) shot it down in every way, liabilities and such, but i keep finding…

Well I want people to be able to see someone practicing Parkour, and say to themselves "Hmm, that guy is doing Parkour." In my opinion, that is much better than the common "What the hell is he doing?" And by spreading Parkour, peoples' opinions will…

Yeah. Except define "common practice". Parkour seems to be a somewhat rare activity from what I've seen.

I don't see why it even really matters if it is a sport or discipline, Parkour is what it is. Team or club, you can call yourself whatever you want, but you're all trying to reach the same common goal. To become a stronger individual mentally and ph…

Ugh I freaking hate ignorant cops. More so then mall cops. Ontopic, I think you should pursue it as a club, the school board won't let it roll as a sport, mainly because of liability issues. America's sue happy, Sueing is everyone's get rich quick s…

I feel like the whole "Parkour...sport or martial art or whatever" topic has been talked to death. It is it's own category....a little bit of everything! Gosh.......

I'm not usually one to focus too much on this sort of stuff, as I think parkour clubs are a great idea. However, making parkour a team sport for a school means there has to be some sort of competition in order for it the go-ahead. I'd also like to…

I think everyone gets too caught up in the labelling. If a schools wants to call an activity a sport or a club or have a team because that's what they are used to dealing with, it doesn't matter. What matters is how that group pursues it's goals. If…

Martial arts and the Art of Parkour

I noticed that many people on this website, myself included, took, or take, some from of martial art, so i decided to try and see why, or maybe its a coincidence, so feel free to give your imput. my thoughts are that some people are set to be into a kind of thing, such as parkour, wether it be by the practice of physical discipline, mental discipline, wether you think it looks cool, or you dress to impress. it seems that these two things draw the same crowds, maybe you took martial arts because… Continue

Seems like your pretty new to parkour but looks like you have a pretty good background so it's be interesting to train with you and your friends. Can't train this saturday unfortunately (already gunna be in New haven training) but I'm around to train pretty much any day of the week. And by the way I'm 16 and have been training parkour for about 3 years sooo yeah message me if you'd like to train
