The best (and one of the hardest) core exercises I know is a combination pullup/leg raise. Stresses your entire core. If you can build up to 10-15 of those you will be solid

L sits? I've heard alot about them but I'm not exactly sure what they strengthen besides your hip flexors...

Planks work, but they're not very good for building strength. Case in point: I can do planks for 1 minute sets, 3 sets, but I can't do 50 good sit-ups. Planks will build endurance and burn fat, but won't do a ton besides that. Planche training and…

One of the best, and most basic core work outs in my opinion is the plank exercise, easy to do and works well.

go to a gymnastics place to practice. if there aren't many people there, go to the foam pit (if they have one) and put a thin, but sturdy, mat in it. then get a spring board and put it on the edge of the foam pit with enough room behind you so you c…

But seriously(sorry i like to make jokes), It helps to plant your leading foot infront of your body, almost at a 45 degree angle so your momentum travels up as you kick, otherwise you go forward and land on your head. The take-off is far harder and…

Yea, whatever that means, haha. Its really important to think about not the leg as it can get it your way. And dont forget to skip to feet together.

Weak ankles huh? ive got the solution one sec... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDbnMKhIuA0 This is Dogen, he writes great tutorials on tricking but that one is for how to strengthen ur ankles, great tutorial.

Also another way to strengthen your ankles is by standing one two feet regularly then moving the front part of your foot, your meta tarsils to to the arch up and down and youll get a nice burning feeling in the opposite side of your calf.

I hurt my knee playing football, i went to go juke a kid, and while i was on one foot my knee buckled, twisted and bent in, i tore my acl and what i believe is part of my medial meniscus but i had surgery with one the best doctors from mass general and ive been doing great since surgery about 2 months ago so hopefully i can start doing light parkour and tricking around 6-8 months

Just alot of trial and error my man, sorry i got back to you so late, i got surgery on my knee and wanted to stay away from this site cause i cant do anything atm =[. Anyways, took my atleast 4 months to get a backflip down, off a table or off the ground.

It really helps if you have someone to help you along the way because i've been teaching my friends who were dedicated to learn and ive taught them to do stuff in a few hours or days, sometimes a couple weeks.

If you dont have anyone around to help, look at tutorials on the youtube, but i first suggest that you check out www.trickstutorials.com , great site for tricking and read the articles that he writes, they are great for self improvement!

If I had to guess without seeing you actually do it, I'd probably say that with rails you know that you only have to get your feet high enough to clear the object for a few inches, where with other objects it takes a little more effort and airtime. Next time you're out training put your hands on the rail, and slowly plant your feet further and further away from it. that should help.

As far as I know theres no place you can try on the freerunners short of finding someone with a pair and trying them on. No stores sell them, Just the internets and my retailer (whom doesn't have an actual store and usually has to order the shoes himself.)
