I remember this video coming up a long time ago, probably during our old website. This girl is probably 15 or so by now, I'd love to see where she is at now. I love to see her perform so well at such a young age but watching her do some of those g...

Very impressive people, but I wouldn't call it very impressive free-running. All I saw was them doing acrobatics off of very high objects. There was a super amazing double back flip in there but I don't think acrobatics alone constitute free-runni...

Its great hearing this. I've been training by myself without knowing it for a while now. I "play" in the woods, jump over logs, crawl, climb and what not. I always felt like this was great enough for myself and I could teach myself. After all, its...

Heh, If I move anywhere still in the US it would probably be Hawaii. I'd rather just leave the country though.

Found a real job? Good luck out there, you know I'll miss you.

It is a really long gap. The landing is just a lot lower, it's down a slope. It's funny Glenn took the exact same picture of me doing that gap a couple years ago. I like this one better.

So, if you like finding new music you like based on what you already like, I know there are a million search tools out there for it, but this is one of my favorites: MusicPlasma The search results are a visual web of connections rather than a list...

Profile Information

RealLife First Name: (if differing from screenname, otherwise put "same")
Robbie
Can you support the group with transportation? # of seats?
Yes, 4.
About Me:
RoBear, the name comes from the old animated Robin Hood. Where the characters are all animals, with Robin being a fox and Little John a bear. Rob is head over heels enchanted by Maid Marian after their first encounter and all dreamy eyes in the woods with Lil' John. To get Rob's attention John calls out to him "oh Robin Hood...Rob...hey RoBear!" Ever since my mother and next door neighbor's uncle, who lived next door, always called me Robbie-RoBear, and it stuck.
Other Physical Disciplines:
5 years of Tae Kwon Do, 8+ years of hockey, 4 years of little league baseball, 5 years of middle school recess football, 2 years of ultimate frisbee, 2 years of paintball, & I've tried a slew of outdoor activities like white water rafting, mountain climbing, mountain biking, & bouldering. I recently got into skateboarding. I'm not big on tricks, I'm more of a longboarder on a short board.

Music dump with links

Around the time I started college I independently discovered serious hip-hop. I've always loved all genres of music and just gravitated to the bits and pieces that I liked, but most of the music I ended up listening to was rock influenced due to the tastes of the people around me. However after finding in myself a real love for hip-hop it led me to discover the genre on my own and find out what I truly liked. So basically this led to me looking at the music I had previously listened to and branc… Continue

What happened to independent training?

I have noticed that a lot more of the new members here on NEPK are asking for places to train and people to teach them. I think it is great that they are coming here for help and learning from our members the true meaning of parkour and how to train effectively and safely, but what happened to good old self driven motivation and determination? I joined NEPK a little more than 2 and a half years ago and at that time I rarely heard anyone ask for places to train or ask for a teacher. I simply fell… Continue

Not a prob boyo. All of their music is amazing. Those are some of my favorite songs by them also. Prince of Spades will almost always hold the top slot for me though. Especially the live version with Phil Keggey playing guitar.

i like your blog.very true. people need to go out there and find there own places to train.without attempting to dicover spots yourself, youll never gain that "parkour vision".and no need for a teacher,go out with your friends or fellow tracuers and if they see you struggle with something they will help you along the way and give you some tips.
