Your school will let you do a senior project on Parkour? That's pretty awesome. Check the events on the Events page, they're open to everyone of any skill level. Also, there are no Parkour "trainers," or at least there shouldn't be. Make sure you…

It might promote bone health, but it can have serious effects on joints from high impact drops and such. It's interesting though, nice find.

This is really, really impressive. 3 Thumbs up. Also, thank you for making the music really laid back. It works so well.

>.> You miss the point. There is nothing illegal about doing parkour. There is nothing that gives a "sport" (which you never even defined properly) or people practicing said "sport" immunity from the law. You cannot legally trespass on private prope…

I don't think you understand how liability works. If it private property and people don't want you there, you can't use it. Period. It's trespassing. Swimmers can't just waltz into a private pool and claim they're practicing, like football players c…

Yeah, making it a sport or whatever wouldn't change anything. First of all, it's not a sport, so you shouldn't call it one. Secondly, what makes you think making it a sport will let you practice on private property? Just calling it a sport doesn't m…

I got this link on my facebook too, and I decided to click through as well. Not the first parkour book in existence, and certainly not the last. Having not read it, I can't say much, but from the review, it doesn't look like it's completely the wron…

Flips in Parkour?

Someone back on the old forums posted up a video I found very interesting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aajc8cYXs1o

The video is a music video showcasing freerunning, but at about 2:25, he flips over a spiked fence and continues moving. To me, this is showing that flips are not necessarily useless in parkour.

Breaking it down (Much of my reasoning comes from Kaos's articles and videos (I believe from NAPK), so reading those might help if some things seem strange):

-His center of gravity is… Continue

I'm not cosplaying this year. I had a really hard time thinking about what I could pull off WELL with my dreadlocks, because they are too thick for a wig. I only try to cosplay when I can do it right, and last minute (two days ago) I got the best idea for myself, at the next con I go to I'm doing a custom Axl Low from Guilty Gear. One year I did an adult Ash Ketchum, Raichu, pokeball belt n' all. Came out rather well and I looked natural in it, but some people just thought I was hanging out with a small stuffed Raichu until they saw my pokeball belt.

Fighting Spirit is the only sports anime I've ever tolerated. I'm pretty selective when it comes to anime. I also don't buy any of the subs-superiority b.s. I strait up dislike fan-subs, but I don't mind distributer subs at all. As far as new shows go Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad is refreshingly original and fan service free. (I Love it & own it.) Gurren Lagann is completely out there and fun if you can stomach it. (I can.) Mushishi is a true work of art, but only for the patient and open minded. (I am, so much so I own it.) And I want to check out Black Lagoon.
