has there been an official NEPK gathering? if not there should be! im leaving this completely open, so we can get ideas and then finalize it. i just think it would be a good idea and really fun to train with a huge group

If this happens and there are a ton of people (ie. enough to get us instantly kicked out of nearly any one spot) you can split it up over multiple hot spots (and/or days) around Boston. You can ask for travel donations ahead of time for T travel. Maybe one group start at Baby Pool, another at Chinatown then T-up to Harvard and/or NEU. It may also work out better for people's schedules to do a day at location X and another day with a mostly different group at location Z.

Another idea which I've had for a while and is sorta the opposite would be to tour New England. I've always wanted to do this ever since I first met kaos at my first jam. He was doing an All NE Tour, going to all the big hot spots and meeting as many members as possible in a week or two. You could do New Haven, Providence, Worcester, Amherst, Boston (maybe 2 days in Boston) and something up north. It looks like NH has some commotion right now. Maybe even visit kaos's old home turf of Portland, ME. You might even be able to get a sort-of traveling pk-troupe to tour with you. I know I'd love to take a solid week off and for a all NE tour. If I did/do it I'd try to sleep at the locations and go directly from spot-to-spot, not going back home after each jam. I always thought another tour would be a great way to really get all of NE to work as one and less as separate states/hot spots. It's also a great way to culture people who haven't had a lot of contact outside of their region. Just a- long, thought.

The tour sounds sick, I'd definitely do that this summer. Honestly, as long as SOMETHING big happens, it'll all be good.

Yeah, the tour sounds great. I can't really go down to Boston or New Haven, so anything up around Maine and New Hampshire would be good. I really need to go to one of these jams, if they happen.

Hmm a tour sounds fun but a majority of the runners and spots are in Boston. A good idea for a gathering would be to get as many people as possible too meet up at one spot, then pick out two or three of the fastest runners and have them run through the city while everyone else chases. It can be like and insane version of PK tag. For added entertainment the runners can dress up like mice, while the chasers dress as cats. Free Running cats and mice will freak people out, it could be awesome.

Well wasn't there the huge Boston NEPK jam like a year and a half ago or so? I really like your idea Robbie. Touring NE is the first step. Ten we tour the country, then we tour the WORLD!!!! Building on that idea, what we should do is set aside that week, or however long, and have groups start maybe on two ends. we'll have some of us here in Ct and Massachusetts get together and jam, and then the NH, Vermont, Maine guys get together and just jam until we meet in the center and see what happens there. But, I think we should wait until after the proposed PKUSA jam in Texas next June. I know not everyone will be able to go or afford to go to texas to jam, but check out the PKUSA thread here and on PKNA and see what's being talked about.

I currently do not intend to go to PKUSA this year but it's still a ways away. About two years ago we did have a very big NEPK get together. It was back when CT was just branching out and most of the active traceurs were a lot less spread out. We had at least 30 people when we started at the baby pool and a local cop who had been monitoring our forum even showed up just to learn about parkour. After a few hours most of us (20+ folks) took to the T to Government Center I think, don't really remember where. But we traveled around a lot on foot jamming after baby pool. That jam was somewhere between 6 to 8 hours long.
Back when the Providence scene was still alive I use to jam with kaos n' Tex (the founder of nepk and the creator of the original site.) and we'd travel P-town for hours on foot. Those jams always lasted 6 hours. We were also a lot more conservative with our energy too.

i definitely support the tour idea! i dont know myself if id be on the entire tour but i would definitely meet up with you guys at least twice during the tour.... and i would also support the idea of a official nepk huge jam but think it would need to be split up over two days/ a couple hot spots.... we could invite people from other groups to our gathering too... summer is a good idea but i also wouldnt be against a spring or early fall thing either

the one reason i say we have a big official jam is cuz i doubt i will ever get to train with the guys from maine or new hampshire, and therefore never see some objects the way they do.

im not putting down teh idea of a tour i agree and think thats a great idea i just think that if we have the tour with the 2 groups we make sure to have a spot where both groups get to meet and train together. and from what it looks like if we all got together at bc we wouldnt get kicked out.

good idea robbie i think we should roll with that, also i have a big enough house where i could host some people for a couple of days, and we should hit up UMD, although i think they are getting strict about parkour there...but if its in the summer i don't think anyone would mind cuz no ones there.

Definietely a great idea. It should be spread out over a couple of days though, so everyone has a chanse to come. Also, if there are any open gym nights around the time of the gathering, it would be a great opportunity to train and we wouldn't have to worry too much about getting kicked out.
