Maine residents! Freerun / parkour enthusiests!

Hey everyone. I figure that I should go ahead and slap a post up here. I really am looking forward to meeting other traceurs/traceuses in Maine. So, feel free to post in this topic. We need to get a list of people who want to train, learn, and run free.

Now, don't get me wrong. I'm brand new to parkour myself, so don't think I know everything! I'm just trying to get everyone in a single posting, so that we can plan things in the future.

Feel free to add me as a friend on livejournal... here's my latest post. http://rejor11.livejournal.com/1771.html

I found a partner to train with at the base gym, 5 days a week :) So I'm gonna be going at it pretty hardcore.

This coming saturday (21st) weather dependant, Ethan and I plan to head down to Portland to freerun, and find some spots where we can train. I figure Old Port would be a good spot to begin.

In the future, if we can start doing some regular jam sessions, we can make Portland, Bangor and Augusta as different areas to freerun. Maybe even head down to Boston once in a while.

Anyways, put your name here if you're interested to do something in the future!

Hey, not sure how many people from Maine are actively on this website, I know there's about 200 replies and I don't have time to read em all, but my names Scuba and I just moved here from New Hampshire. In New Hampshire I had some friends I did Parkour/Freerunning with almost daily, and we had some sick spots. Now that I'm in Maine I was hoping to find some people to train with regularly, who hopefully knew some good spots and even a good gymnastics center. That's the big thing for me, is finding a gymnastic center. Winter's coming and that's good for flips and such, but narrows down what you can train and where you can train, a lot. If you know any good gymnastic centers in the Bangor area, or close to the Bangor area that have adult gymnastics, or open night for adults, let me know. Everything I've found only teaches kid classes, or only have open nights for kids.
I am willing to drive up to a hour and a half-ish for a good gymnastics center, or to train with with fellow traceurs. Hit me up on my profile or Myspace/Facebook/AIM, etc.

Hey scuba. Unfortunately there are only like 3 or 4 active people right now...

Im assuming you're around the Bangor area.. since you mentioned it. I train in Brunswick all the time, plus we usually have jams in Portland so I don't think we'll be jamming too much...
