anyone interested in teaching me and possibly one of my friends some beginner techniques and such? Somewhere at a playground near me or something, if anyone is interested send me a message :)

I'd recommend just going to a jam in your area. A lot of what my friends and I learned we taught ourselves; just go watch some videos and go have fun outside. It's a lot easier to learn when you have friends also new to parkour. There's not much others can teach you, and its surprising how much doesn't need to be taught. Keep practicing with your friends, and as you jam and meet new traceurs and freerunners, you'll keep getting better and better.

It's probably not what you wanted to hear, but it's true. Go out and teach yourself!

Good luck!

Where are you located? There's a class at the Trumbull YMCA this week, from 330 to 630 all week. Also, there are usually regular training jams in New Haven almost every weekend.

Oh your rather close to me. About a 45 minute drive up my way, give or take a few minutes. I might be doing a training jam sometime next week, but I'm not entirely sure yet. Also there's the Trumbull YMCA gym jam, which will be a great place for you to learn the basic techniques in a safe(er) fassion.
