Lately in school, there has been a parkour craze. so my group of friends and I approached the ddean about starting a parkour basics class, for 8th grade thru highschool. I've been looking for a local teacher, and I know that teaching pk is a bit frowned upon, but my group of friends is desperate for a teacher. There will be pay involved, but a background check will be administered.

Teacher must be near, around, or in salem MA. Email me at: rvb4life@gmail.com, or post a response please.

I tried a similar thing at my school recently. I typed up a three-ish page proposal and gave it to the principal. He said he turned it over to the superintendent, but I haven't heard anything back yet. If it might help, you can find my proposal here;

Oh. Nice proposal. Mine's already pretty far along, but the whole program hinges on me finding a teacher.

Yeah, for me , the biggest obstacle was/is insurance and such issues...
IDK, even if it doesn't get approved, I've got a group of people who can meet and train outside of school.

Yea man I had the same problem. The school was much to worried about liability issues to have a parkour club. It's no big deal though, I had a parkour club/team to begin with. Making the parkour club/team affiliated with the school would have probably ended up just being a pain in the ass anyway. Too much paperwork. They would likely end up limiting where we could have trained amongst other restrictions since the school would then be responsible for our actions. Parkour should be as free as possible. I like the idea though, you might have better luck trying to incorporate the basics class into the phys. ed. curriculum. Good luck man
