Does anyone in Vermont know of Parkour classes, or even just a group of people want to start getting together to train?

the only classes i know of are run by josh, also known as killian morgan on the site, and those are at the YMCA in Connecticut.
seems to me that mostly people just get together and "JAM" or train, whatever you want to call it.

oh! btw, if you vermont people, (you people?! what do you mean YOU PEOPLE?!) want to come to the video jam on sunday the 14th, you definitely should carpool down or something, the turnout is already promising to be ridiculous with 12 people def coming as of right now.
i think that would be sweet.

We usually find that we go down to Boston to hang with some friends, and practice some on the Tufts campus. There is a lot of fun terrain there.

But, perhaps this summer some time we'll be able to head down to Conn.

there's this place I took flipping lessons in up at vermont with BobT and some others. It was this giant warehouse with a little gym in it (i mean little) but the instructors there are really nice and they'll teach you whatever...
That's all i know, sorry; i'm a bostonian

I'm interested (though out of shape). Its been a while since my last Aikido class, but I think I remember my rolls and falls. Maybe if we get enough people we can have someone from the larger NE community come up to give us a lesson. I've also joined www.americanparkour.com and there are a few people who have posted on their boards who are looking for people (http://www.americanparkour.com/smf/index.php?topic=10757.0).

Solarstream... Nice name! I'm a solar power systems designer/installer/master electrician in training.

To answer the question, YES.

At my house, on tuesdays this summer, we are having parkour workshops. There's some techniques I can teach but the main idea is to get people together and working together to improve. There is NO better parkour teacher then having some one better then you push you to go farther.

We've had one so far and it was pretty successful... about 8 people. I had a tree tip while I was climbing it and managed to bail! I wish I had that on video. Anyway we took this week off because I was away on business, but next Tuesday we'll be back in full force, starts around 5, usually goes until about dark, last one we made veggie burgers/burgers afterwards and everyone hung out for a few. Good times!

Anyway I live in Waterbury. I'm trying to get something going in Btown so we can do one week at my house then one week in Btown but I've yet to find someone that lives in the Btown area that is as interested in organizing this as me. Any takers?

Peace,

- Mud
