just lettin you know, this forum is pretty much dead. go to the one with the super long name and like 100 posts. thats the one we all use ;)
It all looks very good, but I saw after reviewing it a few times that your left leg was to 'loose' when you came up from the roll, I would just suggest sturdying it when standing from the roll. (Yes that was EXTREMELY over critical but I just fig...

Thanks. I'm partway through the movie, am enjoying it immensely. It's a huge help to explain the philosphy behind the discipline. And as an older athlete with one too many injuries, I appreciated the 65-year-old woman making her foray into Parkour...

Parkour is a physical discipline inspired by human movement, focusing on fast efficient forward motion over, under, and around obstacles in one's environment. Such movement may come in the form of running, jumping, climbing, and quadrupedal techniques. The goal of parkour is to adapt one's movement to any given obstacle. Read more in the articles section.

just my luck... wrist injuries...yes plural

well by some stroke of bad luck, bad anatomy and over use. I have partialy torn my ulnar colatoral ligament in BOTH of my wrists at the same time doing parkour and ninjutsu... so all my jam RSVPs just went to maybe. I will still be at the New Haven one cause I live here and will be providing sleeping space, but I will be jamming at a much slower pace and might just do alot of video or things that dont require wrist flextion... we will see, it sucks and I will have to wear braces on both my wrist… Continue

Tricking

So I have decided its time for me to start learning some tricking...and purhaps later some free running of course. Why? no reason, just feel like it... been doing parkour for 12 years and its time for something a little new to add to it... and I am in the best shape of my life so it seems like a good time to start. I have a specific set of techniques I actually want to learn, not going too crazy yet. So I am starting with an aerial, after one hour today of training I think I could have it by the… Continue

My surgery

Just had my gallbladder removed! Doc said I should be 100% again after a little more than a week. Crazy that they can remove an internal organ and barely have any down time after! Look how bloated my stomach is after being inflated for the laproscopic surgery! My belly button is in the wrong place!

Going out with a bang (more of a "pop" really)!

I was running around Harvard Square today with Jeff, and he gave me a lot of helpful pointers that really helped improve my kongs and wall runs/tic-tacs. I got in some good practice on rails and dropping from heights (9 or 10 feet) into a roll (on nice soft grass), and then on a running jump from a bench to a wall, I didn't take a practice jump to the side first like Jeff suggested I do, and I hit the wall with a lot of speed and my feet planted firmly in front of me. If I had a bit more height… Continue

Possible (EMPHASIS ON POSSIBLE) Parkour school/class program opening.

Well recentley I took a trip down to the trumbull CT YMCA to find out when they had open gym times, so I could just come in a fool around with new moves. I met the gymnastics co-ordinater, Andrew Campbell who kindly gave me a tour of the gymnastic facilities. I was impressed and couldn't wait to begin practicing. He asked me why I wanted to come to the gym, I told him "I practice a discipline called Parkour, you might know it as Free-Running?" He nodded and I began to explain the history and phi… Continue
